artist statement                   

My motivation for making quilts is a simple one: to explore color and design with fabric and thread. I'm inspired by nature's patterns and more often by a personal experience. The emotion of the experience is often what sees me through a project, providing inspiration as I struggle to achieve the right combination of color and design.  As a result of this intimate connection the quilts become an extension of my personality, reflecting a specific time in my life. I have always felt to make quilts is to feed my creative soul.
